Adult Enquiry into the

Catholic Christian Faith

The Alpha Course will be taking place again in Autumn 2026, running until Christmas. For those who wish to take their enquiries into the Catholic Christian faith further, there will be a continuation of the course leading up to Easter, when those who wish to formally embrace the faith will be baptised or received into full communion with the Church. Those who have been baptised Catholic but were never confirmed may also attend this course and receive Confirmation at the end.

For those already Catholic who would like to continue their journey and go deeper, and also consider the Sunday readings, there is also the Journey of Faith group.

Here are some of the talks delivered last year as part of the Christmas—Easter course.

1. God the Creator

2. Revelation

3. The Son of God

4. Would you Adam and Eve it?

5. Sacraments: what are they?

6. The Sacraments of Initiation: Baptism and Confirmation

7. Eucharist — the Mass

8. The Sacraments of Healing: Anointing and Confession

9. Holy Orders and Matrimony

10. Natural Law and the 10 Commandments

11. Our Lady and the Saints

12. The Christian Life

Children's Liturgy of the Word

We offer a Liturgy of the Word at the 10.45 Mass for children of school age up to and including Year 3. Safeguarding regulations required that we follow a certain procedure.

• First, you must register your child in order to attend. Please use this link to do so.

• Children must be brought to the Canon Roe Hall (formerly the Old Hall) before Mass begins and signed in.

• They will remain together with the catechists throughout the Mass, and will return to the Hall afterwards from where they can be collected and signed out after Mass.

Apologies: currently our internet, and therefore streaming service is offline.

Virgin have given us a 'possible' date to restore it of September 8th.

Therefore the parish will be without internet until this restoration has happened.

This means that response to emails &c will be patchy. So sorry; though not, I think, our fault.
