Details
The main hall measures approximately 9m x 18m and has a high ceiling.
There is a fully equipped kitchen with a chiller, oven, 6 hobs, heated cupboard to keep food warm, industrial dishwasher and built-in hot water urn.
There are tables and chairs sufficient for a hundred and twenty to sit in comfort, likewise sufficient dinnerware, crockery, cutlery and other needfuls.
The hall has recently been refurbished with new lighting, flooring and sound system, and has a large projection screen.
There are separate Ladies’ and Gentlemen’s facilities, and also a separate disabled loo. Disabled access is very straightforward as everything is on the level.
Opening off the Centenary Hall, and available with the hall or separately is the Sacred Heart Bar (perhaps we should find another name……) The Bar lounge can seat 30. Whether you hire the bar or not, alcohol may not be brought in without prior arrangement with the manager.
Other Matters
May I use a bouncy castle?
I'm afraid not. We have been instructed that they are too much of a risk to life and limb of our children. Insurers are not happy.
May I hire a DJ or band?
Yes, but music must stop at 11pm promptly and must not be excessively loud (we have neighbours!). If asked, the music must be turned down. Causing nuisance in this area may result in the loss of your deposit.
Rubbish
All rubbish must be removed on the day of the hire, and not left even until the following day, as the cleaners come in early. We have a local fox problem, so rubbish bags may not be left outside the hall for obvious reasons.
Brooms and Dustpans
may be found in the entrance hall, next to the gents’ toilets. Your key will also open this cupboard.
Doors
Please keep the fire exits closed, but you may open the sliding doors to the car park.
Setting up and clearing away
Your hire time should be arranged to include sufficient time for setting up and clearing away.
